The mission of the Interfaith Network of Care (INC) is to give personal and social support to people coping with chronic conditions, disabilities, isolation, and other age related disabilities and to help those responsible for their day-to-day well being. Trained volunteer caregivers, agencies, and the community-at-large encourage people to continue to live independent, meaningful lives in their own homes.
At a time when our need to reach out to each other is greatest, Faith in Action, an interfaith volunteer caregiving program of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, stands ready to help. If you are interested in finding a program similar to this one in another part of the country click on the Faith in Action link or call this office at 732-247-1655.
Volunteers provide such services as:

  • Transportation to non-emergency medical appointments in the local area - thousands helped over the past ten years.
  • Friendly visits - A visit with a homebound person can make a wonderful difference in his/her life knowing that someone cares enough to help.
  • Reassuring Phone Calls are also very much appreciated.
  • Assistance with paperwork
  • Respite care - Once a week we are able to give care givers a 5 hour break. We provide a catered meal, fun, activities, a social hour, music, etc.
  • Strong for Life - an exercise program specifically designed for older persons who have physical limitations in their daily activities

We serve in the communities of: East Brunswick, Helmetta, Old Bridge, South River, Spotswood, New Brunswick, Highland Park, Edison, Kendall Park, and Milltown.
