Youth Action Centers are operated within high schools and community organizations to provide service and leadership opportunities for all students. Our Youth Action Centers are a hybrid of Hands On affiliate models and the United Way volunteer center model. At the centers, high school students initiate, plan, promote and implement community service projects in conjunction with a school advisor and other school clubs. They learn responsive leadership, budget planning, management, and important values such as diversity and communications.  Youth Action Team members are participants in the 21st Century Leaders program of the Georgia Business Forum, and may help coordinate local Kids Care Clubs for their elementary and middle school peers in the area.
